Competitive advantage is one of the most popular notions in business today (Hartani et al., 2021). Competitive advantage is achieved when a company can leverage its internal strengths to capitalize on current possibilities in its environment while also dealing with internal weaknesses and external threats (Hartani et al., 2021). Business organizations can better utilize their strength and competitive advantage by adopting information technology which has become an essential element in most industrial and business organizations (Hartani et al., 2021). An organization’s IT investments can support the synchronization of the organizational plans and strategies and resources hence, in the current business environment, it is considered to be a strategic tool to facilitate effective business management and an enabler of competitive advantage for an organization (Hartani et al., 2021) utilizing IT as a managerial resource (Haseeb et al., 2019).
